  18. C-Kermit 9.0 Alpha.03 is ready for testing.  Here's the page that

  23. There's one item that should be of interest to any site that uses HP
  24. ProCurve network switches.

  26. But most of the work this time is specific to VMS:

  28.  . Premilinary ODS5 support
  29.  . "Large file" support on Alpha and IA64, including (we hope) correct
  30.    file transfer progress display and statistics for huge files, and
  31.    also access to 64-bit integers in the command and script language.
  32.  . The Kermit FTP client is included by default in all TCP/IP builds.
  33.    This needs a good deal of testing.
  34.  . OpenSSL builds should automatically configure themselves according
  35.    to the perceived SSL version.
  36.  . Improved support for ever-older VMS versions.  Anybody out there
  37.    have VMS 5-point-something?

  43. This has been part of the Unix version of C-Kermit for almost 10 years
  44. but until now has not been adapted to VMS.  Note that if you build
  45. C-Kermit with SSL, then you'll also have a secure FTP client (FTPS).
